Another Great PAC Event: Demystifying Dyscalculia

Greetings, Meadow Brook Partners!

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is holding another adult enrichment night on November 1st. At this session, we are focusing on learning difficulties in math, known as dyscalculia. You are invited to come and learn about struggles in math from Dr. Billings, a psychologist specializing in identifying and treating children, adolescents, and adults with learning disorders. You can also meet other parents who share your same concerns and frustrations. Everyone is welcome; you do not need to have a child using special education or other special services to attend.  Please see below.

Thanks!  Kari and Laura

Introducing Our Wonderful MBE Parent Advocacy Committee (PAC) Reps & “Meet The PAC” Event Info

Hello Meadow Brook Families,

We just wanted to let you know of a valuable resource within our Rochester Schools. Unless your child has had an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for special education or a 504 plan in place, you may not have heard of PAC (Parent Advisory Committee). The PAC is an organization dedicated to empowering families of students receiving special education services. We do this through communication, education, and support with the purpose of obtaining the finest programs and services available within the Rochester community.

This year there are two of us representing Meadow Brook on the board. We not only support teachers and staff within the district but we advocate for the needs of all our children. Recently, PAC put on an evening run by an expert in Dyslexia and reading concerns.

If you’d like more information or find you are in need of resources or support, please visit Rochester Schools Website and search for PAC or find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/PAC.Rochester.MI/.

We are honored to serve your school this year!
