An Amazing Authors In April!

We had a great day at Meadow Brook with three amazing author presentations on Thursday!

All of the books that were brought in to be signed by the authors were returned to students on Friday, so be sure to check the they bring them home to enjoy!

Also, if you were able to enjoy the presentations and took any video clips, please note that these should NOT be shared, especially on social media.

Authors in April, Inc. signs contracts with the authors guaranteeing no videos will be made and/or shared, especially with Josh Funk graciously sharing his new, not-yet published book.

Thank you!

MBE International Day Is Coming!

Be A Meadow Brook Hero!

“In Diversity There Is Beauty And There Is Strength!” – Maya Angelou

Meadow Brook is hosting an International Day for the Meadow Brook community to come together to celebrate the school’s rich ethnic diversity.

The event will be held on Friday, May 24 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Each grade will have 30 minutes to “travel” the world by visiting different “countries” or tables.

We have the following countries hosting a table to share their cultures: Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, India, Peru and the Philippines.

If you don’t see your country of origin on the list and would like to host a table about your heritage, contact Kristine Ma at krma17@gmail.com.

If you’d like to help with set-up, clean-up or taking students around during the event, visit the sign-up genius: MBE International Day Sign Up

Hero Headlines: Learning Is Fun At Meadow Brook!

Be A Meadow Brook Hero!

Safe. Respectful. Responsible.

It’s been great to have some downtime with family and friends over the past week!

Breaks from school are all about mindfulness and balance.  In order to do our best learning we have to be our best selves, which often means relaxing and having fun.

At Meadow Brook we work hard to see that the students we serve have fun while they learn.

We take pride in our core philosophy that children should be comfortable and relaxed at school so they can focus on engaging in creative, collaborative, exploration.

In the week before our break we put together some programs and activities on the foundation of that core philosophy!

The Decimal Diner. Connecting math to eating out!

Snap Words In Disguise. Dressing up is fun!

A Day At The Beach. Reading is always fun at MBE!

Join us on Twitter @ThinkMBE for daily updates.

Here’s to another joyful Meadow Brook week!

Thank you for your patience and you partnership…in it together for the kids.

With gratitude,

Seth
