MBE PTA Gift To School Reminder

MBE PTA Gift To School 2019

The Meadow Brook Elementary PTA is fortunate to once again have funds available to fund one-time Gift to School grants*.

We would like to have input from our parents, teachers and staff members as to how these funds should be spent.

If you have a request, please complete the attached form and return it to the PTA President Mailbox in the school office by Friday May 10th or email it to ptameadowbrookelementary@gmail.com no later than Sunday May 12th.

The PTA board will hold a preliminary review of the proposals at its May executive board meeting.

The proposals will be presented, along with the board’s recommendations, for discussion at the PTA meeting on Wednesday, May 15th.

Final selection and approval of proposals will take place at the Tuesday, June 4th PTA meeting. Please note, the PTA’s priorities lay in helping all of Meadow Brook’s students.

Therefore, greater weight will be given to proposals for items/projects that benefit the entire building.

*These funds will be available for use in the 2019-20 school year.

An Amazing Authors In April!

We had a great day at Meadow Brook with three amazing author presentations on Thursday!

All of the books that were brought in to be signed by the authors were returned to students on Friday, so be sure to check the they bring them home to enjoy!

Also, if you were able to enjoy the presentations and took any video clips, please note that these should NOT be shared, especially on social media.

Authors in April, Inc. signs contracts with the authors guaranteeing no videos will be made and/or shared, especially with Josh Funk graciously sharing his new, not-yet published book.

Thank you!

MBE International Day Is Coming!

Be A Meadow Brook Hero!

“In Diversity There Is Beauty And There Is Strength!” – Maya Angelou

Meadow Brook is hosting an International Day for the Meadow Brook community to come together to celebrate the school’s rich ethnic diversity.

The event will be held on Friday, May 24 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Each grade will have 30 minutes to “travel” the world by visiting different “countries” or tables.

We have the following countries hosting a table to share their cultures: Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, India, Peru and the Philippines.

If you don’t see your country of origin on the list and would like to host a table about your heritage, contact Kristine Ma at krma17@gmail.com.

If you’d like to help with set-up, clean-up or taking students around during the event, visit the sign-up genius: MBE International Day Sign Up

Sharing with open hearts and open minds,
